Target registry not updating
If you'd ever changed your mind and decided to change or exchange with a gift card they will not give you the full price whatever amount the givers paid for. I was on the phone 5-7 times with Target and all they said was "sorry about that". It's now evident why Bed Bath and Beyond is such a popular registry spot- they know what they are doing apparently. Soooo I come home to log into my account on the computer, and whats there?? The registry I could access on my work computer as well.
At every turn the experience was terrible- consistently items went out of stock, ordered were simply cancelled without explanation, and many out our guests were unable to place orders due to malfunction. I was able to log into my account eventually on their little scanner but had to create a whole new registry. I was smart to text the list to my phone, it sends a link to the registry in which i pulled up on my phone.
We actually took back a few items to Wal-Mart becuase we expected to get the "purchased" target items at a later time.
And from a very meaningless 20 minute conversation with customer service on the phone (difficult to communicate, likely not from America) I gathered the idea that people, whether online or in the store, can check off an item to be purchased, but don't ever have to get it.
I have several engaged friends and I will make sure they don't use target. It is so embarrassing, not just for the bride who has to haul everything back to the store for exchanges and store credit but for the purchasers. Not that this list needs any more similar comments, but AVOID TARGET'S REGISTRY!!!
My wife and I used the wedding registry and did not receive about half of the 80 items we registered for, despite the website saying they were "PURCHASED." If it simply said "reserved" or something a little less misleading I wouldn't be quite as frustrated.
I set up our target wedding registry earlier this week online along with a couple other accounts (including our wedding website and online registry through Zola).
But how is there now a completely different registry with 74 items that I created in store, linked to the same dang email password, target account.
It baffles me that in this day and age that target cannot utilize technology that links the ACTUAL purchase of an item to an indication of the same on the registry. Do not register here if you actually want to get your gifts. They suggested that I contact my wedding guests to find out if they bought the items and still had the receipts. It has been a nightmare trying to get mine registry in order. The registry was also showing the incorrect merchandise and not what was supposed to be on there. When I called customer service, they told me there was nothing they could do if my guests didn't opt to write a message.
